I play video games since i’m a kid. When I was younger I did not realize that people were doing that for a living. I discovered it a few years back and I was amazed! I never thought video games could be considered as a sport. Today I see the amount of work that is needed to play at a professional level. Man, those guys are definitely athletes. 

Henceforth, this question: Should E-sport be a part of the Olympics. I personally don’t know. To me there are positive aspect to this, but also a few negatives. 

It would be great in the sense that E-sport would be globally recognized as a sport and players as athletes. For the moment, they don’t get the recognition they deserve and I think that’s a shame. 

On the other side if they add E-sport to the Olympics they could also add disciplines such as chess. There are also numerous of games/sports being played at a professional level, which ones should be chosen? Which ones shouldn’t? Why? There are many interrogations about this. 

 

Personally I really don’t know if E-sport should be a part of the Olympics or not. However i’m thrilled that people think about the possibility of adding it to the list of discipline considered as a sport.
